One of Europe’s biggest investment managers asked The Tasting Quarter to provide experiential activities on their exhibition stand for a financial services conference in Barcelona.

The client wanted to achieve the following 3 objectives:

  1. To build upon the positive relationships already in place with existing European and UK clients.
  2. To discuss their investment solutions with prospects, creating real leads for the business across Europe and the UK.
  3. To follow up on any key conversations held with the contacts that visited the stand.

Event delivery

After consultation with the client, The Tasting Quarter recommended 4 of its main tasting activities (artisan cheese, wine, chocolate and Champagne/sparkling wine) to occur on the stand over the course of 2 exhibition days, constantly refreshing the stand to ensure repeat engagement from key prospects and contacts, and to ensure the right tasting happened at the right time.

Delegates participated when suitable for them, with no structured start times. The tasting process was set up so multiple delegates could be accommodated at any one time, in separate waves if needed.

Activity time per delegate per tasting was set up at 3-5 minutes on average, with game, lead qualification and prize elements included to ensure key lead data was obtained. 

The Tasting Quarter ensured a smooth transition of key prospects during the event to the client sales team.
